Job Summary:
Hire Point Staffing Solutions is seeking an experienced and dependable CDL Class B Truck Driver for local delivery routes in New York City on behalf of our client. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity with full-time hours and an immediate start available.
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Safely operate Class B commercial trucks (manual and automatic).
- Load and unload products/materials using an electric pallet jack; ensure the accuracy and security of loads.
- Deliver to job sites across NYC and the surrounding boroughs.
- Communicate with dispatch for route updates and delivery status.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and paperwork.
- Follow all local traffic laws and company safety procedures.
Requirements:
- Valid CDL Class B license (Required)
- 2+ years of verifiable CDL B driving experience (Required)
- Electric pallet jack experience (Required)
- Must be able to drive manual transmission and automatic trucks (Required)
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs (Required)
- Strong knowledge of NYC roads and traffic patterns (Preferred)
- Clean driving record (MVR will be reviewed)
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Willing to undergo DOT-compliant drug screening, if requested
